Born 2/25/24, now 82, still writing-composing-singing R & B,Reggae, Hiphop… my life proves that you don’t have to be a brainwashed, braindead conservative when you get to be 82...born Chicago, to  loving Catholic family, left all religions after WW2, but not the good family…an indifferent student, loved the nuns, not the priests …took a day off hi-school frequently to go downtown to the 2 great movie theatres, Chicago & State-Lake where the best Jazz bands in US played, entry 25 cents…Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Gene rupa, Dorseys, etc…wrote the excuse notes for pals …joined Army Air Force on 18th b’day, became a  B-24 Bomber lead navigator in S. Pacific…got lucky, was not yet 20 when my class graduated, so  had to wait couple of months to be commissioned… they were sent to Europe where many of them were killed by German fighters & ack-ack…Japanese were not so good at shooting down planes…but they got us once…parachuted over Morotai Bay… rescued by PT boat, American not Japanese, thank Poseidon & Neptune…10 day Rest & Rehab to Sydney…goofed off with pretty Aussie girlfriend…flew back to Leyte, month late… 2 of my crew were dead, not my fault…flew 45 bombing missions, most as  lead navigator, because the other navs were get-losters… came back after Atom Bombs…war ended, went to U. Colorado, then U. Grenoble,France…learned fractured-francais…(loving friendship with Lucienne, exotic dancer, great education!) returned to New York, worked as purser on luxury flights to Paris, London, Roma, also  S. Africa, Beirut, Iraq, Pakistan, India, Hong Kong, great job! Transferred to San Francisco,first stop Honolulu for surfing, then many places in Asia; Tokyo , Hong Kong (opium with Marie Chen, great gal!), Wake Island (spear fishing) Bangkok,  Saigon, Indonesia, Fiji Islands (spear fishing) Samoa…great job! Became amphetamine addict for 9 years…pharmacy speed not meth…those days could buy speed in pharmacies without prescription …except USA...at 35 married very pretty Norske-Americansk, she made me give up speed…Great woman! Swimmer, surfer,diver, lover, son Sven, I became a teacher in San Francisco for 21 years…liked the kids, disliked being penned up with 35 of them …loved the time off…DJ, Sven & I vacationed many summers in VW camper in Europe…great vacations…opposed Vietnam War along with bro Prof Chuck & fam…lived in SF about 40 years, Sven & I formed R & R band there, played about 200 times, including 3 summers in Holland & Denmark, band broke up, moved to San Luis Obispo for several years, performed solo  with very good rhythms built into keyboard, still doing so at 82 in Escondido, CA… Oh forgot, DJ & I lived in Estepona, Espana for a year after retirement… Sven started working as sound engineer in SF, has worked his way up to Boz Skaggs, Lennie Kravitz, Joss Stone, Aerosmith, many others… great son & granddaughter…now I'm fighting the good fight against prostate cancer, still writing, singing, hope to survive ‘til 90...
